2. Definitions

- “User” — any person who creates and/or uses an account in the App
- “Content” — photos, texts, messages and other information uploaded by the User
- “Mimo Events” — in-person meetups organised or facilitated through the App (Mimo Mini, Mimo Experience, Mimo Premium)
3. Eligibility
Use of Mimo is reserved for people aged 18 or over, with legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Angolan law. By registering, the User declares and warrants that they are at least 18 years old and that all information provided is true, accurate and current.
Each person may create and maintain only one account. Creating accounts on behalf of third parties or with a false identity is prohibited.
4. Registration and Account
The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their access credentials and for all activity carried out through their account. Mimo is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of the account by third parties, except where caused by a proven security failure attributable to Mimo.
5. Verified Profiles — Recommendation and Limits
We strongly recommend that you use only your real profile, complete the identity verification available in the App, and prefer to interact and meet in person with verified profiles.
The “verified profile” badge indicates that the User confirmed, through the App’s verification process, that the person in the photos matches the account holder. This badge does NOT constitute a guarantee of integrity, safety, background, marital status or intentions of the verified User, and Mimo assumes no liability arising from the conduct of verified or unverified Users, inside or outside the App.
The User acknowledges that the decision to communicate with, meet or form a relationship with another User is theirs alone and under their exclusive responsibility, and they should take normal personal safety precautions, including: informing trusted third parties about in-person meetings, choosing public places for first meetings, and never sharing financial or sensitive data with people met through the App.
6. Conduct Rules and Prohibited Content
When using Mimo, the User agrees not to:
- Publish false or misleading content, or content that constitutes identity theft (“catfishing”)
- Publish or send unsolicited explicit sexual content, hate speech, threats or harassment
- Use the App for unauthorised commercial purposes, spam, or solicitation of money/goods from other Users
- Harass, intimidate, discriminate against or engage in any form of physical or verbal violence against other Users

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of the account, without refund of amounts paid, and, where applicable, reporting to competent authorities.
7. Subscriptions and Payments

- Tickets are personal and non-transferable, unless otherwise communicated at purchase
- Tickets are non-refundable, except if Mimo cancels the event
- Mimo may collaborate with partner restaurants and venues; the quality of services provided by those partners is their sole responsibility
- The User attends Mimo Events at their own risk and should take the same personal safety precautions recommended for individual meetings
Mimo is not liable for incidents, personal injury or property damage occurring during Mimo Events, except where resulting from proven direct negligence by Mimo’s own organisation.
9. Partnerships with Restaurants and Brands
Mimo may present offers, discounts or experiences from commercial partners (restaurants, sponsoring brands). These partnerships do not constitute a quality endorsement and Mimo assumes no responsibility for goods or services provided directly by those third parties.
10. Intellectual Property
The “Mimo ❤️” brand, logo, design, code and other content created by Mimo are the exclusive property of Mimo or its licensors, protected by Angolan and international intellectual property law.
By publishing Content in the App (photos, texts), the User grants Mimo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that Content solely for operating and promoting the service while their account remains active.
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Mimo is a technology platform that facilitates connections between Users; it does not guarantee compatibility, relationship success, or the absolute accuracy of information provided by Users.
To the maximum extent permitted by Angolan law, Mimo is not liable for:
- Conduct, statements or behaviour of any User, inside or outside the App
- Direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from interactions between Users, including in-person meetings
- Interruptions, technical failures or temporary unavailability of the service
- Losses resulting from unauthorised access to the User’s account, when not attributable to a Mimo security failure
Nothing in this section limits Mimo’s liability where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory Angolan law, namely under Law No. 1/07 of 14 May (Consumer Protection).
12. Indemnification
The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Mimo, its partners, employees and collaborators from any losses, damages, claims or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from breach of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights by the User.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
Mimo may suspend or terminate, at any time and without prior notice, accounts that violate these Terms, show signs of fraud, false identity, age under 18, or behaviour that endangers other Users or the integrity of the platform. The User may close their account at any time through App settings.
14. Changes to the Service and Terms
Mimo reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue App features, as well as to update these Terms, with adequate prior notice through the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.
15. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Angola. For resolution of any dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of these Terms, the courts of Luanda shall have jurisdiction, with express waiver of any other venue.
16. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the User and Mimo regarding use of the App.
17. Contacts
For questions related to these Terms, the User may contact Mimo through the support channels available inside the App.
